What do the mmHg numbers mean?

mmHg (millimeters of mercury) measures how much pressure the sock applies to your leg. Higher number = stronger compression. Choose based on your need, not personal preference — the wrong level can be ineffective or uncomfortable.

MILD 8-15 mmHg Travel, tired legs, everyday wear
MODERATE 15-20 mmHg Mild swelling, varicose veins, athletes
FIRM 20-30 mmHg DVT prevention, post-surgery, edema
EXTRA FIRM 30-40 mmHg Prescribed only — doctor supervision required
What is graduated compression and why does it matter?

Graduated compression means the pressure is highest at the ankle and gradually decreases up the leg. This is the clinically recommended design — it mimics the natural pumping action of your veins and actively pushes blood upward toward the heart.

Non-graduated (uniform) socks provide less therapeutic benefit. When shopping, look for "graduated compression" on the label to make sure you're getting effective support.

How to wear
Which length should I choose?
KNEE-HIGH
  • Most popular choice
  • Covers the calf muscle
  • Great for daily support & travel
THIGH-HIGH
  • Extended upper leg coverage
  • For circulation above the knee
  • Often prescribed post-surgery
PANTYHOSE / LEGGINGS
  • Full leg + waist support
  • Ideal for pregnancy
  • All-day wear coverage
FOOTLESS
  • Better breathability
  • Allows toe inspection
  • Wear with open-toe shoes
How do I measure myself correctly?

Measure in the morning, before swelling sets in — this ensures the most accurate fit. You'll need ankle circumference, calf circumference, and leg length. For thigh-highs, also measure thigh circumference.

Between sizes? Choose the larger size for your first pair — it's more forgiving and easier to put on. If a sock feels impossible to pull on, the issue is usually compression level, not size.

Who benefits most from compression socks?

If you spend long hours on your feet or sitting without moving, compression socks actively help prevent blood pooling and leg fatigue throughout the day.

How do I care for compression socks?

Hand wash or gentle machine cycle in cold water. Air dry flat — tumble drying breaks down the elastic fibers and reduces compression over time. Avoid petroleum-based creams or lotions on your legs before putting them on, as these degrade the fabric.

Replace every 3–6 months with daily wear. Once the elastic starts to feel loose, the compression level is no longer effective.

These worked great when I

These worked great when I had my recent knee surgery. They helped to support the blood flow in my legs. They fit great, stayed up and didn't roll down. I got a larger size as I didn't want them to be too tight. They have a nice weight and feel to them.

I typically don't leave reviews,

I typically don't leave reviews, but for anyone looking for reasonably priced compression these are great. I have tried jobst and they fit the first day and then fall down. I have tried doc miller they are okay but fit wasn't quite right. I have also tried wellow and they aren't enough compression and they only go up to the knee. I probably have 30 plus pair of compression socks and I hate them all except these. I currently have 3 pair of these and just ordered my 4th pair today. They are a but snug when you first get them, almost too tight, but that is good because they stretch out. Even though they stretch out mine still stay up all day even when I work out. They are fantastic. I only wish they had more colors than black and beige. For reference my doctor recommended large and they fit perfect. I am 5'5 165 pounds if that helps anyone. Anyway, the jobst brand that cost at least twice as much and don't stay up. And if you're new to compression, don't wear any lotion on your legs because it will keep these from staying up. Good for chronic venous insufficiency. Hopefully, this helps someone. I wouldn't wish CVI on anyone it sucks but these make my leg pain at least tolerable and I can function normally and I could not before. One more thing worth noting. If you try to wear any thigh high compression in thr middle of your thigh they are not going to stay up and will fall down. As I mentioned, I've tried about everything out there. The only way to make your compression socks stay up is to pull them all the way up as high as you can. I mean like to your groin and under your butt. That way they stay all day. The only issue I have is after a few months they start stretching out but all of them do. Also, when they stretch for me they are too long so they will start gathering behind my knee and then I know it's time yo get more. These are still the best i have found even my stretched out ones I can wear for a day if needed as backup. Keep in mind sweating and warm weather versus cold weather makes a difference in leg swelling.

These work pretty well! They

These work pretty well! They definitely provide good compression and help with swelling. They’re stretchy, durable, and easy to put on. I find them pretty comfortable, but I measured my legs with the provided chart to make sure the fit was right. I wash them on a delicate cycle (cold water) in a mesh laundry bag and air dry them, and they’ve held up perfectly fine. My only complaint is that they can roll down during heavy activity, but that’s probably to be expected for most sleeves.

The compression stockings don't stay

The compression stockings don't stay up as well as advertised. The rubber edging are uncomfortable itching and they slide down your leg.
