What do the mmHg numbers mean?

mmHg (millimeters of mercury) measures how much pressure the sock applies to your leg. Higher number = stronger compression. Choose based on your need, not personal preference — the wrong level can be ineffective or uncomfortable.

MILD 8-15 mmHg Travel, tired legs, everyday wear
MODERATE 15-20 mmHg Mild swelling, varicose veins, athletes
FIRM 20-30 mmHg DVT prevention, post-surgery, edema
EXTRA FIRM 30-40 mmHg Prescribed only — doctor supervision required
What is graduated compression and why does it matter?

Graduated compression means the pressure is highest at the ankle and gradually decreases up the leg. This is the clinically recommended design — it mimics the natural pumping action of your veins and actively pushes blood upward toward the heart.

Non-graduated (uniform) socks provide less therapeutic benefit. When shopping, look for "graduated compression" on the label to make sure you're getting effective support.

How to wear
Which length should I choose?
KNEE-HIGH
  • Most popular choice
  • Covers the calf muscle
  • Great for daily support & travel
THIGH-HIGH
  • Extended upper leg coverage
  • For circulation above the knee
  • Often prescribed post-surgery
PANTYHOSE / LEGGINGS
  • Full leg + waist support
  • Ideal for pregnancy
  • All-day wear coverage
FOOTLESS
  • Better breathability
  • Allows toe inspection
  • Wear with open-toe shoes
How do I measure myself correctly?

Measure in the morning, before swelling sets in — this ensures the most accurate fit. You'll need ankle circumference, calf circumference, and leg length. For thigh-highs, also measure thigh circumference.

Between sizes? Choose the larger size for your first pair — it's more forgiving and easier to put on. If a sock feels impossible to pull on, the issue is usually compression level, not size.

Who benefits most from compression socks?

If you spend long hours on your feet or sitting without moving, compression socks actively help prevent blood pooling and leg fatigue throughout the day.

How do I care for compression socks?

Hand wash or gentle machine cycle in cold water. Air dry flat — tumble drying breaks down the elastic fibers and reduces compression over time. Avoid petroleum-based creams or lotions on your legs before putting them on, as these degrade the fabric.

Replace every 3–6 months with daily wear. Once the elastic starts to feel loose, the compression level is no longer effective.

Very good compression socks, with

Very good compression socks, with a slight caveat. If you have big feet and/or are tall, they WILL slide down. There is no way to circumvent this. On average, I pulled them up 10-15 times every 5 minutes. Hard to feel comfortable when dealing with this reality. I wanted to like these, I felt when I got them on they were the best of SEVERAL I've tried. But, I just can't get over how easily they slide down.

Pro: Easy to put on

Pro: Easy to put on and comfortable to wear.
Con: Thicker than they appear in the pictures. They wrinkle at the ankles as soon as put on and pool at the ankles more as the day goes on. OK to wear around the house but I wouldn't wear them outside.

These work very well for

These work very well for me. I am able to wear during travel and feel much better at the end of the trip. I am a woman with longer legs and with the wide width, they work great. The foot part also fits my size 12's.

These are nice knee high

These are nice knee high they do run fairly easy, but they are wide enough to go over my calf very easily and they do fall down some but I’m able to pull them up before they get all the way down.

Excellent quality and nice fit.

Excellent quality and nice fit. I often find stockings not long enough to reach my knees, but these Certainly do. Have purchased several pair and will be purchasing more in the future. Wash wonderfully and offer excellent support. Wish the tan was a little bit more like a suntan then pale.

These are very comfortable and the compression is great. They fit as expected and they are perfect for everyday wear for issues with blood flow in my legs. My legs are less tired/fatigued when standing for long periods.

I think I have an

I think I have an aversion to nylon and sweaty legs. These compression socks are pretty standard. If you are tall, these socks will not be knee-high. They are difficult to get on, tend to bunch around the ankle, and pull too thin as they move up the leg. And they are hot. I have a few pairs of bamboo compression socks that are cool and comfortable because the material breathes. They manage to deliver therapeutic compression without being tight or too warm. The cost is comparable to these nylon spandex socks, so I will stick with what works for me.

I recently purchased these compression

I recently purchased these compression socks for my wife who has been experiencing some discomfort in her legs. She found them to be comfortable to wear and easy to put on and take off. They provide a gentle level of compression that seems to be helping to alleviate her discomfort.

We're especially happy with the fact that they come in a wide range of sizes, which was important for us since finding plus-size compression socks can be difficult.

Overall, we are satisfied with this purchase and would recommend these socks to anyone looking for a comfortable and effective way to manage leg discomfort.

Wore them on my last

Wore them on my last 5-hour flight. Very comfy. Kept my feet from swelling much. My others before this are way too tight and hard to put on. These go on easily.

Taking measurements before you order. Confidence they’re going to fit.

I got the small size

I got the small size ones. As a medical professional, I have to say these socks are very well made. It is breathable and 15-20mmg is an ideal range for compression socks that is meant for all-day usage without cutting off your circulation.

However for people who needs or prefer stronger compression. You might want to seek out 20-30mmg socks. I recommend the truform medical grades one. Which goes for like $15 at Walmart. Always ask your medical doctor before using compression socks to know which one is right for you

I’m happy that these are

I’m happy that these are so easy to out on, my arthritic hands don’t have to struggle as hard pulling these up for the correct fit.
They have light compression and stay in place all day. I would say though that on days when tighter compression is needed these are too light in that aspect.

I just started a new

I just started a new medication that causes feet to swell for 25 percent of people who take it. The great thing is that the new medication works and I'm feeling better and my health is improving. There is the one side effect that was causing me feet pain and swelling. I tried these compression socks and when I wear them, my feet don't swell as much. They fit me. I'm a bigger girl, so I checked the measurements and chose the correct size. They seem to fit true. I haven't worn them long enough to judge how long I think they'll last, but they are quality. I wash mine in the sink with a little soap and hang them to dry. These are a light compression compared to some my mother wore that were very tight. If you are like me and need a lighter compression, these are perfect.
