What do the mmHg numbers mean?

mmHg (millimeters of mercury) measures how much pressure the sock applies to your leg. Higher number = stronger compression. Choose based on your need, not personal preference — the wrong level can be ineffective or uncomfortable.

MILD 8-15 mmHg Travel, tired legs, everyday wear
MODERATE 15-20 mmHg Mild swelling, varicose veins, athletes
FIRM 20-30 mmHg DVT prevention, post-surgery, edema
EXTRA FIRM 30-40 mmHg Prescribed only — doctor supervision required
What is graduated compression and why does it matter?

Graduated compression means the pressure is highest at the ankle and gradually decreases up the leg. This is the clinically recommended design — it mimics the natural pumping action of your veins and actively pushes blood upward toward the heart.

Non-graduated (uniform) socks provide less therapeutic benefit. When shopping, look for "graduated compression" on the label to make sure you're getting effective support.

How to wear
Which length should I choose?
KNEE-HIGH
  • Most popular choice
  • Covers the calf muscle
  • Great for daily support & travel
THIGH-HIGH
  • Extended upper leg coverage
  • For circulation above the knee
  • Often prescribed post-surgery
PANTYHOSE / LEGGINGS
  • Full leg + waist support
  • Ideal for pregnancy
  • All-day wear coverage
FOOTLESS
  • Better breathability
  • Allows toe inspection
  • Wear with open-toe shoes
How do I measure myself correctly?

Measure in the morning, before swelling sets in — this ensures the most accurate fit. You'll need ankle circumference, calf circumference, and leg length. For thigh-highs, also measure thigh circumference.

Between sizes? Choose the larger size for your first pair — it's more forgiving and easier to put on. If a sock feels impossible to pull on, the issue is usually compression level, not size.

Who benefits most from compression socks?

If you spend long hours on your feet or sitting without moving, compression socks actively help prevent blood pooling and leg fatigue throughout the day.

How do I care for compression socks?

Hand wash or gentle machine cycle in cold water. Air dry flat — tumble drying breaks down the elastic fibers and reduces compression over time. Avoid petroleum-based creams or lotions on your legs before putting them on, as these degrade the fabric.

Replace every 3–6 months with daily wear. Once the elastic starts to feel loose, the compression level is no longer effective.

Take the Quiz

Customers praised these 20-30mmHg compression socks as "comfortable," "easy to put on," and effective for reducing swelling. Many appreciated the cotton material and "great value." However, some noted sizing inconsistencies with foot length being too long or bunching in shoes, and a few experienced durability issues with holes forming or compression loosening over time.

I thoroughly dislike the color beige. I am not going to wear the socks

Even though we ordered a 3x they are still too hard for my husband to pull on. Maybe you could reach out to me about a different option for us. He is totally wheelchair bound and it's hard for him to move and get the socks on.
I was well pleased with the product other than that.

I am told by a

I am told by a doctor I needed a 20-30 mg. The stockings are fairly easy to put on. The material is comfortable. The only problem is my toes could use more material w/o compression as they get bit sore by the end of the day. Your similar model in the 15-20 mg. compression HAS more length of non compression for toes. Perhaps my next purchase will be toeless.

Decided to try cotton as my wife likes it. However, at my advancing age, I have trouble turning reverse to put on her feet. It takes a lot of more work than the polyester. Next reorder will be polyester,

This is probably the best

This is probably the best compression socks for me so far. I like the materials (mostly cotton) and how comfortable they are. Not too thin, not too thick, just right. You can wear them in summer with comfort. What I mostly like about these socks is that the knee and the toe areas are not too tight like other compression socks. I like socks that give me some wiggle room for my toes to stretch. Also I can definitely feel the graduated pressure with this one. Just the perfect compression level, and I can really see the difference at the end of the day. I wear women 7 shoes and small works fine. There are many cheaper ones out there, but I personally would spend a little more to get the best materials, best quality, and best result, and so far this is the winner.

When I measured, my leg

When I measured, my leg measurements were in the small category, but my shoe size was in Medium. I was told to get medium, but later tried a pair of small. They fit much better and I can see a difference in my lower legs.

The foot is way too

The foot is way too long. If I put it on with the heel fitting correctly, the sock is the right length, but there's a good two inches of extra socks length hanging off the toes.
Otherwise, they're absolutely great!! Maybe sell this size to the men and a smaller foot for the women? They're very comfortable and if I could wear them, I'd say it's a great quality sock. Cotton is breathable and my feet never got hot while wearing them indoors only.

The socks had too much

The socks had too much distance between the heel and toe for my foot. So they bunched up. Otherwise they met the need of ease of putting them on, and the comfort of the material.

Comfortable cotton feel but foot

Comfortable cotton feel but foot too long for me even though the calf size is perfect. Tried bunching them up over my foot but that made it impossible to wear with shoes and was too tight in the foot, Also tried leaving the toe area fully extended as shown in the attached photo, but that also didn’t fit inside my shoe. I am female and 5’3” and a size 9 shoe and I bought the X-large.
