What do the mmHg numbers mean?

mmHg (millimeters of mercury) measures how much pressure the sock applies to your leg. Higher number = stronger compression. Choose based on your need, not personal preference — the wrong level can be ineffective or uncomfortable.

MILD 8-15 mmHg Travel, tired legs, everyday wear
MODERATE 15-20 mmHg Mild swelling, varicose veins, athletes
FIRM 20-30 mmHg DVT prevention, post-surgery, edema
EXTRA FIRM 30-40 mmHg Prescribed only — doctor supervision required
What is graduated compression and why does it matter?

Graduated compression means the pressure is highest at the ankle and gradually decreases up the leg. This is the clinically recommended design — it mimics the natural pumping action of your veins and actively pushes blood upward toward the heart.

Non-graduated (uniform) socks provide less therapeutic benefit. When shopping, look for "graduated compression" on the label to make sure you're getting effective support.

How to wear
Which length should I choose?
KNEE-HIGH
  • Most popular choice
  • Covers the calf muscle
  • Great for daily support & travel
THIGH-HIGH
  • Extended upper leg coverage
  • For circulation above the knee
  • Often prescribed post-surgery
PANTYHOSE / LEGGINGS
  • Full leg + waist support
  • Ideal for pregnancy
  • All-day wear coverage
FOOTLESS
  • Better breathability
  • Allows toe inspection
  • Wear with open-toe shoes
How do I measure myself correctly?

Measure in the morning, before swelling sets in — this ensures the most accurate fit. You'll need ankle circumference, calf circumference, and leg length. For thigh-highs, also measure thigh circumference.

Between sizes? Choose the larger size for your first pair — it's more forgiving and easier to put on. If a sock feels impossible to pull on, the issue is usually compression level, not size.

Who benefits most from compression socks?

If you spend long hours on your feet or sitting without moving, compression socks actively help prevent blood pooling and leg fatigue throughout the day.

How do I care for compression socks?

Hand wash or gentle machine cycle in cold water. Air dry flat — tumble drying breaks down the elastic fibers and reduces compression over time. Avoid petroleum-based creams or lotions on your legs before putting them on, as these degrade the fabric.

Replace every 3–6 months with daily wear. Once the elastic starts to feel loose, the compression level is no longer effective.

These 20-30mmHg compression socks effectively prevent swelling and provide firm support. Customers praised their comfort, quality, and value, noting they're "easy to put on" and "thin" compared to other brands. However, some found sizing inconsistent - a few reported socks too tight or running small, while others said they stretched out. Color accuracy varied, with some finding shades darker than expected.

These compression stockings cover the

These compression stockings cover the entire foot and the leg up to the knee. They are closed-toe. They provide firm support, but after a few hours they begin to hurt my feet. If I plan to be out with them for an extended period, I take with me 2 acetaminophen tablets and an extra pair of compression stockings that are not as tight. I'm satisfied with the purchase; the compression stockings do what they are intended to do.

For the past several years

For the past several years I have worn compression socks every day as workout socks and as trouser socks. My favorite brands are Physix Gear, because they make my legs feel great, and they have lasting quality for everyday wear; and SB Sox, which hold up great but the fabric is too warm for me to wear during the summer months. I decided to try this brand because I needed a lighter, solid beige color (without the contrasting heel) for summer clothing. Unfortunately, after wearing only 3 times, there are already loose pulled threads up around the knee elastic area, so my concern is they will not last long for everyday use. I then contacted service, who contacted the seller. But the seller said because it was just past the return window timeframe they would not send me a replacement pair. Therefore I am disappointed with the quality and with the customer service, and will continue to wear compression socks from their competitors.

These are the first compression socks that I've found that are made for US men's size feet. I have size 12 feet and these sock don't hurt my toes by trying to jam them through the sock. It seems all the others are made for about a size 6 foot.

Great stocking for people with average length feet. My husband wears a size 13 shoe. Largest size seemed to fit but was short enough in length to cause his toes to begin cramping.

Compared to others I’ve purchased

Compared to others I’ve purchased trying to find something that would work after my doctors office stopped selling this brand these do the best job for me without causing me foot pain and toe pain. When I found them through Amazon I ordered one pair to make sure they were the same as what my doctors office had carried then ordered 5 more pair at less than half the price as the doctors office.
